- CPA and public accounting foundation preferred
- 4+ years' Private Equity Fund Audit and/or Fund Accounting experience
Key responsibilities - Senior Fund Accountant | Private Equity
- Lead the month-end close process, coordinating with various teams to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and reported within established timelines.
- Conduct valuation of portfolio investments using various methodologies such as market approach, income approach, and cost approach. Prepare valuation packet for committee review.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for private equity funds and their underlying investments.
- Partner with Fund Administrator to oversee day-to-day fund administration activities, including reconciliations, cash management, and expense processing, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Coordinate and facilitate audits by external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit process and compliance with audit requirements.
- Prepare and distribute investor reports, including capital account statements, performance summaries, and investor communications, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to investors.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance fund accounting processes, implementing improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of operations.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, such as fund launches, fund restructuring, and system implementations, contributing expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting.
