Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with over 5 years of expertise in data modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and proficiency in Data Vault 2.0 modeling. The role requires experience with big data tools, schema design, and data governance methodologies, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. Financial domain knowledge is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform data modeling tasks, including creating normalized, denormalized, relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas.
•Work with cloud-based and big data tools like Hive, Snowflake, Redshift, Trino, and S3 for data modeling and integration.
•Collaborate with stakeholders such as product managers, project managers, business users, and technical teams to analyze requirements and design solutions.
•Implement methodologies like Bill Inmon and Ralph Kimball for data warehouse design.
•Handle complex data modeling programs with over 100 entities/tables in both on-prem and cloud environments.
•Execute data analysis, profiling, and governance tasks, including Master Data Management (MDM), Data Lineage, and Data Quality.
•Design and maintain data models using tools like Erwin, ER/Studio, or Toad Data Modeler.
•Oversee tasks related to data dictionary creation, data mapping, and data policy development.
•Attend daily stand-up meetings and ensure at least two hours of overlap with Pacific Time to interact with the onsite team.
Required Qualifications
•5+ years of experience in data modeling and analysis.
•Expertise in cloud data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and tools like Hive, S3, and Trino.
•Proficiency in Data Vault 2.0 and designing complex data models.
•Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.
•Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Data Lakehouse implementations.
•Familiarity with data governance practices and tools.
•Excellent communication and leadership skills.
•Ability to work effectively with global teams and align with Pacific Time zones for collaboration.
Education: Bachelors Degree
