We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as the full-time Director of Operations. A successful applicant will have experience working in an operations management role in food manufacturing. This individual also needs to work well as part of a mission-driven team and be adaptable and flexible to the frequent changes in an exciting start-up atmosphere. This position is responsible for managing the company’s manufacturing operation. This includes production staff, processing equipment, inventory management, ensuring a safe work environment and warehouse operations. The position reports directly to the VP of Operation and collaborates closely with the rest of the production team and management team. This is a full-time, exempt position with a four-day workweek (M-TH). 

Essential Duties:

?      Manage the production facility which includes manufacturing, warehouse and facilities.

?      Deliver operational KPIs & cost performance

?      Ensure COG’s are meeting or exceeding budget

?      Manage Production planning to include all key metrics

?      Evaluate equipment and process improvements that will improve capacity, productivity, food safety and employee safety.

?      Manage equipment and facilities maintenance.

?      Manage co-packers.

?      Lead, manage and develop the operations management team.

?      Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure orders are met.

?      Manage on time order shipping and warehouse receiving.

?      Other duties as required

Qualifications / Attributes:

?      Experience with food production.

?      Experience in a management role.

?      Demonstrated ability to organize, set, and implement priorities

?      Excellent time management skills

?      Strength in multi-tasking and a keen attention to detail

?      Adaptability – as well as an appreciation and understanding for changing systems as part of a start-up

?      Ability to work productively in an ambiguous and high-energy environment

?      Must be able to lift 40 lbs independently

?      Preferred experience with equipment and machinery

?      Preferred experience with automation processes

?      Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.

?      Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and procedures.

Job Type:

?      In-person at our company headquarters in Biddeford, Maine

?      Full-time

?      4 day workweek (Monday-Thursday, 6:30AM-5:30PM)

Salary:

?      $70,000 - $100,000 base salary

?      Eligible to participate in all Atlantic Sea Farms benefits plans, including health, dental, vision, short-term disability and life insurance

?      Two weeks of PTO annually and ten company-paid holidays

?      Company laptop and phone stipend provided
