Job Description

A manufacturing plant in Lyman is hiring a Plant Scheduler to oversee the scheduling of production in their plant. Responsibilities include managing production schedules via an ERP system, ensuring material availability, and collaborating with internal teams (production, laboratory, maintenance) to meet customer demands and optimize plant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize production schedules based on customer orders, raw material availability, and production capacity.
  • Adjust schedules to minimize downtime and enhance plant performance.
  • Analyze production data and historical trends to forecast future scheduling needs.
  • Generate reports and track KPIs related to production, efficiency, and inventory.
  • Work with Production to ensure schedules align with plant resources and capacity.
  • Collaborate with the Laboratory team to ensure quality and testing schedules.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment availability.
  • Assess inventory levels and issue purchase orders for materials as needed.
  • Manage supplier communications to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Utilize the ERP system to manage scheduling, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Ensure data accuracy in production schedules, inventory, and purchase orders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve scheduling efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling or production planning, preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems ( SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, raw material management, and purchase order processing.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to chemicals, noise, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.


Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm


Compensation & Benefits:

  • $60,000-75,000 depending on related experience
