Associate General Counsel
Our client, an electric utility headquartered in Minnesota, is looking to fill the role of Associate General Counsel. This position will have responsibility for the preparation and prosecution of the Company’s rate and other regulatory matters in three states, among other responsibilities.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare company’s rate, tariff, and regulatory filings, proceedings and related activity across three states – Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota
- Support Company’s federal electric rate proceedings
- Participate in and support Company’s resource planning
- Provide legal advice and direction to the Company to support regulatory strategy
- Maintain company’s relationships with regulatory authorities and key stakeholders
- Support, interact and communicate with company executive management and internal functions which impact regulatory processes
- Work with outside counsel
What you will need:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law or eligible to become licensed in Minnesota, North Dakota or South Dakota
- At least 5 years’ experience in utility or state regulatory and administrative law
- Experience with investor-owned utilities a plus
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
