Air Systems Components, an Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. Subsidiary, are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at our El Paso, TX plant. This role is critical in supporting current manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in solving production challenges, developing innovative processes, and ensuring our manufacturing methods meet the highest quality and efficiency standards.
What You'll Do:
Manufacturing Support & Improvement:
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing manufacturing methods and processes.
- Solve production issues related to materials, tooling, and processes.
- Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to optimize production.
Process Development & Innovation:
- Design and implement new processes, tooling, and machinery for product launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production controls and optimize operations.
- Set up and ensure the proper operation of new equipment, providing training to operators as needed.
Project Management & Collaboration:
- Participate in new product development and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Manage capital equipment planning, procurement, and implementation.
- Lead and contribute to Kaizen events to promote continuous improvement.
Data & Systems Management:
- Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing support software.
- Conduct work measurements, capacity planning, and labor routing.
- Define operations aligned with production TAKT times and efficiency goals.
Safety & Compliance:
- Promote and adhere to safety standards, contributing to injury and lost-time reduction goals.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) or a related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of: Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Formal problem-solving methods.
- Financial controls and product costing.
- Proficiency in: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Internet applications and email communication tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
