What you bring to the table

Envision is seeking a Project Superintendent to join our team. As a Superintendent, you will provide supervision and field management for our construction projects in various sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of projects while maintaining strict adherence to plans, specifications, quality standards, and local codes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced and proactive leader with exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple trade partners and projects simultaneously, and embodies Envision’s core values in all interactions. They are an organized and effective communicator, committed to delivering quality results and fostering positive relationships with team members, trade partners, and clients.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Produce and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in a critical path
• Perform quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and standards
• Communicate with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
• Identify and resolve conflicts in construction progress with the project team
• Maintain a daily log of job site activities
• Oversee multiple job sites simultaneously, ensuring compliance and performance
• Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work
• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality or scheduling
• Ensure the job site is organized, clean, and safe at all times
• Assist with budgeting, bidding, and awarding subcontracts
• Gather and maintain project material submittals and records of approvals
• Identify areas of work outside the subcontracted scope and communicate with the team
• Assist in hiring sub-tier employees
• Open and secure the job site daily
• Support the pre-construction team during initial subcontractor meetings

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
• Expertise in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
• Proven ability to manage multiple trade partner estimates and/or projects concurrently
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
• OSHA 30 Certification

Physical Demands:

Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment; occasionally ascends/descends ladders and stairs; occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions; may move items up to 50 lbs.; constantly communicates with subcontractors, vendors, and other members of the project team; ability to adhere to consistent and timely attendance.
