Job Description:
The Senior Engineer oversees maintenance operations for the building, ensuring the proper function of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility equipment. This role involves managing repairs, preventive maintenance, and leading a team to support the building's operational needs. The Senior Engineer may also fill in for the Project Manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support maintenance staff.
- Implement preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
- Respond to and manage maintenance work orders.
- Troubleshoot and repair various building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on equipment.
- Manage parts, materials, and inventory.
- Develop and deliver training for team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in an industrial/commercial setting.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for facility systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
Additional Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
- Electrical license preferred.
- Universal Refrigerant License desired.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
