Project Manager – Architect

Level: Mid to Senior
License: Licensed Architect or in the process of obtaining licensure
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Project Manager – Architect to join our growing team in Houston. This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior-level architect who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leading projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry , strong project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage architectural projects from design through construction, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Oversee project documentation , including drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors to align project goals and expectations.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers and architects within the team.
- Conduct site visits and construction administration , addressing RFIs, submittals, and on-site issues.
- Assist in business development efforts , including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, building codes, and sustainability practices to incorporate best practices into designs.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) in Texas.
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design and project management within the AEC industry.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software (SketchUp, Enscape, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes .
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with education(K-12), commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or institutional projects .
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles (LEED accreditation a plus).
- Strong background in construction administration and contract documents.
