We are a well-established apparel and fashion company with a 60-year history, recognized for our quality products and celebrity endorsements. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Des Plaines distribution center, which has been operating for five years and is set for further development.
This role requires a leader with a strong background in warehouse operations, logistics, and process optimization. You will be responsible for managing a team of 10, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading key initiatives that support our distribution network and upcoming facility expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of 10, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, logistics, and customer service, to improve operational alignment.
- Manage vendor and carrier relationships, ensuring cost-effective and timely distribution.
- Play a critical role in the upcoming facility expansion, contributing to planning, resource allocation, and execution.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution management, could include supervisory or leadership responsibilities as well.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and process optimization.
- Ability to implement and oversee operational improvements.
- Hands-on management style with a focus on efficiency and team development.
