Job Title: HR Specialist (focused on Leave of Absences)
Location: Onsite in Salem, Oregon
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour
Contract Duration: 3-6 months with potential for permanent employment
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Leave of Absence Administrator to join our team in Salem, Oregon. This role is crucial in managing and administering leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage all types of leave of absence requests, including FMLA, disability, and personal leaves.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee leave status and documentation.
- Communicate with employees, managers, and HR partners to provide guidance and support throughout the leave process.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and company policies.
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing of leave-related payments and benefits.
- Provide regular reports and updates on leave status and trends to HR leadership.
- Assist in developing and implementing leave policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in leave administration or a related HR role.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA and ADA.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and leave management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
