Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing & Inventory Manager to oversee procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing operations. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and expertise in supply chain management to drive cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for cost-effective purchasing.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to optimize pricing and service levels.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to align procurement with operational needs.
- Analyze market trends and forecasts to anticipate material requirements and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing and inventory team, promoting continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing and inventory metrics with strategic insights.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field ; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years in purchasing, supply chain management, or inventory control , preferably in manufacturing or signage industries.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel .
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
