Description: The Supervisor is responsible for achieving departmental and area goals and objectives. This role supervises production, maintenance, and/or warehouse employees in operations or processes requiring semi-skilled to unskilled employees. The Supervisor acts as the first-line liaison between production employees and management, representing the company's interests on the shop floor.
Duties:
- Lead the development and execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve system, part, people, or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, and improve processes/performance.
- Administer employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
- Monitor individual and line performance, taking corrective action as needed.
- Work with the Safety Team to enforce safety regulations and prevent injuries.
- Plan for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
- Manage and control costs to stay within department operating budget targets.
- Establish an employee environment of communication, feedback, and overall guidance.
- Ensure assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction, and tools.
- Direct departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience with SAP and desktop applications (MS Word, Office, Excel).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work primarily 1st shift with occasional OT and flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.
Education:
- College Degree or Equivalent Experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
