In this role you will over see the installation projects with the customers. Where your clients are transforming the energy system from dependence of fossil fuels towards renewable energy supply. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading teams of field technicians who will manage installations, maintenance and service on electrical equipment projects keeping the ‘best in class reliability’ and deliver exceptional timely responsive service to customers.
Location: Auburn, Alabama (ranked top small towns in America; with great cost of living, easy living and excellent public school system, charming college town= home of Auburn University)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage installation and service teams to ensure timely and successful mechanical and electrical project completion.
- Train and mentor team members on usage, installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment.
- Maintain timelines, specifications, changes, updates, costs and budgets.
- Monitor, control, report and provide real-time reporting on project status.
- Build effective relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and user groups to meet customer expectations. Project lead and internal contact for customers and suppliers.
- Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and potential challenges.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage project liability and risk management through the lifecycle of each project.
- Develop project execution plans, staffing schedules to include labor, subcontractors, etc.
- Provide project administrative oversight by communicating complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or any other entity key stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise and implement effective solutions.
- Managed administrative tasks including project filing/sharing, print coordination, logging request for information (RFI’s) and submittals, quality assurance/quality control documentation and coordination, copying/scanning creation/maintenance of various spreadsheets, correspondence and log maintenance.
Qualifications Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree and/or Certification as a PMP preferred
- 10+ years of experience installing, repairing, problem-solving and maintaining equipment
- Strong Project Management skills with exceptional planning, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Track record of achieving great customer satisfaction
- Hands on background with electrical and mechanical maintenance
- 5+ years leading teams
- Data driven; advanced mathematical skills and technical abilities
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Flexibility and ability to handle and manage change effectively and efficiently
- High level of professionalism, self-motivated, goal-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work remotely and travel as needed (25% travel)
- German language skills would be a plus!
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices in all aspects of work.
- Very Tech savvy with computer proficiency: MS office, ERP systems, project management software, etc.
