Leading, full-service architecture and design firm seeking an experienced Project Manager to grow their NYC team. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with well-defined advancement opportunities and a strong internal support system working on complex, large scale, multi-family residential projects.
The ideal candidate can work both in team settings and with independent responsibilities, in the development of design and construction document packages. Will work, in some cases, from initial concept through construction administration. Will coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors. Project work is local (NYC) and site visits will be required as necessary. Will work with and learn from Partner/Principal level Architects with vast knowledge of New York City development.
Responsibilities
Plan, oversee and assist with the overall preparation of design and construction documents for projects
Develop, modify, and review production drawings and edit project narratives and specifications.
Analyze client problems and develop architectural solutions to those problems
Plan and lead the execution of presentation and technical drawings and models during the various phases of design
Manage schedule, budgets, and contract- coordination of consultants
Drive and ensure technical quality in documents throughout all phases of a project
Ideal Qualifications
6+ years professional experience
Strong knowledge of building technology, building codes, and assembly of construction drawings with a strong AutoCAD or Revit proficiency
Strong interest in technical design and coordination of complex building systems
Proficiency working in large scale commercial or multi-family residential projects
Ability to create construction/working drawings using Revit
Experience supporting aspects of project design, management, and coordination
Degree in Architecture from an accredited university
Strong communication skills
