Position Overview

As the Store Manager for Thom Sweeney’s New York location, you will oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring a seamless client experience that reflects the brand’s values. You will lead a dynamic team, drive sales, and maintain the highest standards of customer service, tailoring expertise, and operational efficiency. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on management.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor store staff to uphold Thom Sweeney’s standards of excellence.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
  • Set individual and team sales targets and provide ongoing performance feedback.


Sales & Client Relationship Management

  • Deliver a personalized, luxury shopping experience to all clients, including high-net-worth individuals and international clientele.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to drive customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Manage client appointments for bespoke tailoring and ensure exceptional service throughout the process.


Store Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual standards.
  • Ensure the store meets all operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.


Brand Representation

  • Act as an ambassador for Thom Sweeney, promoting the brand's heritage and ethos.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store events and initiatives.
  • Maintain a polished, professional image in line with the brand’s aesthetic.


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury retail management, preferably within menswear or tailoring.
  • Strong understanding of men’s tailoring.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using retail POS systems and basic financial reporting tools.
