Inside Sales Position Requirements:
- Must have min 2-year experience and competent in materials relating to, at minimum, one of the following:
- PVF product sales - (Pipe, Valves & Fittings)
- HDPE Pipe O/G applications
- Safety and PPE
- Industrial and Oilfield Products
- Industrial Cleaning, Vacuum and Hydro Excavation Truck operation as it relates to PPE and Hose needs.
- Additional requirements;
- Must be well organized and have strong attention for detail.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients to build rapport and accurately facilitate their needs.
- Must be able to work on multiple responsibilities and effectively prioritize all job functions.
- Must be self-managed
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be competent on basic computer programs and typing skills.
Job Functions May Include:
- Facilitate client needs from quote to delivery.
- Order processing and monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to increase margins and/or market share
- Assist outside sales and/or management with sales functions
- Source new vendors/new products
- Vendor relations
- Record keeping (quote files, customer emails, etc.)
- Detailed new item entry
- Capture all associated costs with an order
Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries, develop accounts, and generate quotes using company database;
- Maximize gross margin sales through careful analysis during the quote process;
- Identify and act on opportunities to increase market share by growing sales;
- Provide product prices, delivery specifications, payment terms, and offer substitute products where appropriate;
- Assist outside sales and/or branch management in processing priority transactions;
- Work to understand customers' business, determine customers' requirements, and manage customer expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Make value-added recommendations to increase sales;
- Enter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, procurement match and trade discounts as needed;
- Establish and maintains customer relationships, communicates with customers and co-workers to provide technical information;
- Participate in meetings and training opportunities to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge;
- Monitor expected ship dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed;
- Provide prompt responses to internal and external customers, vendors and branches regarding material and sales function (including warehouse errors, shortages, and damaged material);
- Other duties as required;
Education & Experience Requirements
- Any combination of two or more years in customer service, inside sales, and/or warehouse services in a position with increasing responsibility including demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience;
- PVF, Safety or Environmental Sales: 2 years
- Customer Service: 3 years
- Quoting, Pricing, and Invoicing: 2 years
- Industrial Sales: 2 years
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others;
- Previous sales experience selling “value added” products/services; preferably related to the commercial construction industry, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings) or mechanical products;
- Demonstrated achievements in sales while working in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
