Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Director of Veterinary Clinical Operations to join our client’s team in Culver City, CA . This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care in a large, multi-specialty facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ER/Specialty Veterinary hospital leadership and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the hospital to ensure efficient service delivery and operational excellence.
- Provide support, coaching, and development for employees to maintain high performance standards.
- Manage financial aspects, including client billing, payment agreements, and operational cost control.
- Lead and coordinate hospital meetings, ensuring actionable goals are met.
- Develop and implement training programs for hospital staff in collaboration with the Training Supervisor.
- Address human resources and employee relations matters, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Establish and streamline staff/client interaction protocols to enhance customer experience.
- Partner with marketing teams to design and implement growth strategies for the hospital.
- Participate in community engagement initiatives and marketing events to enhance the hospital's visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting, or CVPM certification preferred.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a large veterinary hospital setting.
- Proven experience in ER/Specialty Veterinary hospital operations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing high-revenue facilities.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate teams.
- Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Ability to align hospital operations with core values of service, empathy, quality, and integrity.
Preferred Experience
- Large hospital management experience handling high-end clients.
- Experience working with a multi-specialty facility.
