Power Plant Engineer
Salary Range : $120,000 - $150,000
Core Responsibilities
- Review and enhance preventative and corrective maintenance plans for generating station equipment.
- Develop asset health indices and dashboards using performance reports and data trends.
- Recommend design improvements for generating plant systems across assets.
- Provide field support for engineering counterparts and operations.
- Investigate engineering service requests, offering cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare sketches and support the implementation of system modifications.
- Draft operating, maintenance, and inspection requirements for equipment.
- Plan and design refurbishment projects, including feasibility and technical evaluations.
- Present project insights to stakeholders and management.
- Offer technical assistance as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's in Engineering + 8 years of experience OR Master's in Engineering + 6 years of experience.
Experience
- Strong understanding of plant design, construction, operations, and maintenance in the utility or oil & gas industries.
- Proficient in rotating equipment design, maintenance, and analysis.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple projects.
- Supervisory experience and hands-on operations knowledge (preferred).
Licenses
- Driver’s License (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or adverse conditions.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Available for emergency system response and power plant visits.
