DescriptionBelle Haven County Club seeks a full-time Communications Manager. Responsible for the proactive support of the communications functions primarily and the membership functions secondarily. This position supports the Director of Membership in the execution of the Board objectives for Communications and Membership: enhanced member growth, member retention, member communications and programming. This position supports the professional image of Belle Haven by assisting all departments in the development and production of consistently high-quality marketing communications for programs, events and department policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMEMBERSHIP SERVICES Under the direction of the Director of Membership, responsible for supporting the project work of the overall club objectives of member retention:Event marketing.Assists Director to be a proactive problem-solver to answer members' questions or concerns and seek solutions to their problems or issues.WEB SITE Will proactively develop and input the marketing information by working with food and beverage, catering office, club administration, golf, tennis, fitness, swimming, Swim Team, Summer Camps, keep the web site updated, timely, functional, accurate and appealing. Help the departments in utilizing the web site to create efficiencies as they develop and market their programs.Responsible for the updates and accuracy of the calendar of events and email blasts. In coordination with Director and various departments, proactively develops e-mail promotions and mailings.Maintains and continually updates the member side of the web site for accuracy and format.Assists members with web site questions.Updates and maintains the accuracy of the public side of web site.Works with department heads to determine each area's website needs, works to create efficiencies for each department.Interacts with Club essential technical support to solve web problems. Responsible for attending the "coffee break training sessions" to stay up to date on web features.Keeps up to date on the latest social media technologies and other new ways to communicate effectively and responsibly: Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.Performs and supports other appropriate tasks relative to the web site for the membership as directed by the Membership Director.WRITTEN COMMUNICATION Professionally developing and maintaining high quality supplemental activity brochures: golf, tennis, fitness, swimming and BHCC family for prospective members and members.Creates flyers and promotional materials for displays and mailings in support of the electronic communications via the website. Develops comprehensive communication plans: electronic, written and visual to support the work of the departments and food & beverage operation. Coordinates printing and mailing.Supports the Director in the communication of quarterly reports, written calendars and event marketing. Handles this and other correspondence to members and staff as needed.ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS SETS REQUIRED Understands how to set priorities and specific objectives for work defined. Ability to be a proactive problem-solver, meets agreed deadlines or communicates revised deadlines. Ability to handle multiple tasks and highly accurate in writing and communications. Has excellence follow-up and follow through on projects. Demonstrates proactive hospitality skills and professionalism in dealing with members' and staff issues or concerns. Must possess the ability to collaborate with other departments on project work and a team player who presents a positive attitude toward members and staff.REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must have strong communications/graphic design background; spelling, grammar skills and writing skills, experience in graphics, social media platforms and customer service in a hospitality setting required, college education preferred with experience in Word, Microsoft Publisher, Excel and Power Point and knowledge of the Axis Editor for web site work.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT/ENVIRONMENT No heavy lifting required.
