APTS® is searching for a Communication Manager
Employee's duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for oversight of the APTS brand, marketing, communications, research, planning, content creation, data collection, and working closely with the Marketing and Development Officer regarding relationship cultivation of stakeholders or parties relevant to APTS.
  • Collaborate with other departments and staff members as needed to ensure that all content and communications appropriately represent APTS. To include creative collaboration with the Marketing and Development officer to ensure that digital content contains the proper fundraising messaging.
  • Develop and implement an approved organizational communications strategy with a focus on internal and external communication.
  • Work with APTS Directors to identify specific needs and target goals when creating annual marketing and communications development and strategic plans
  • The role will work closely with the Marketing & Development Officer to ensure streamlined, donor-centric marketing and communications.
  • Update appropriate APTS outlets (via website, social media, etc.) regarding emergency situations (weather, early/late dismissal, or arrival, etc.)
  • Oversee and protect the APTS brand and image .
  • Develop, design, and manage approved content for the APTS website
  • Oversee and establish APTS' social media presence and following, including blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, email listserv, etc., and work closely with the Marketing & Development Officer and the Director of IT & Operations in responding to all feedback
  • Help develop, design, and manage approved content for the APTS organizational Quarterly Newsletter (March, June, Sept., Dec.)
  • Manage the creation, design, printing, and consistency across all marketing collateral and materials (ex: newsletters, letterhead, business cards, brochures, flyers, posters, pamphlets, note cards, invitations, certificates, PowerPoint presentations, banners, signs, etc.)
  • Other marketing and development responsibilities as assigned by the Marketing & Development Officer and/or CEO.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field required.
  • Must be able to drive/hold valid driver's license and be willing to travel, maintaining a flexible work schedule that occasionally includes evenings and weekends.
  • 2-3 years professional experience in marketing/communications required. Experience with a non-profit organization preferred.
  • Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exemplary written and verbal communication skills, basic math ability, and excellent problem-solving skills.
