About the Veterinary Technician - Urgent Care Role 


We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our Urgent Care. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for surgery and anesthesia, excellent interpersonal skills, is extremely organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 


Schedule & Compensation

         Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday 2p-12a OR Thursday-Saturday 2p-12a

         Compensation: From $22/hr *includes shift differential* 

                

What You’ll Do

  • Anesthesia: Induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, recover patients
  • Administer medications
  • Assist in procedures
  • Position and capture of radiographs
  • Communicate with clients, and team members (verbally and written)
  • Fear Free handling: safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patients
Requirements
  • Experience in urgent care veterinary medicine
  • Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
  • Attention to detail and a calm demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
  • Proficient computer skills
