Job Description

CoWorx Staffing Services has an exciting opportunity to join one of our premier clients team as a Assistant Scheduler in the Griffin area. Our client is expanding and has a lot of exciting growth opportunities.

The Assistant Scheduler is responsible for assisting all scheduling and coordinating activities at the company, including production, Inventory, Problem Solving.

Hours are are 7-4


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for Creating Travelers for work orders
  2. Ensures that production cadence processes are tracked with KPI
  3. Assist with maintaining production schedules based on customers’ orders
  4. Assist with tracking capacity and material availability
  5. Coordinate with internal teams regarding production and Delivery issues
  6. Review daily movements to ensure components inventory levels meet production demand
  7. Compile Reports & Enter data on progress of work, inventory, cost, & production problem
  8. Manage multiple tasks and schedule efficiently
  9. Ability to communicate and coordinate verbally and written with various departments

Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve Production

  1. Proficiency with Software (DBS, D365, Microsoft Office Excel, Words etc)


Additional skills/Attributes needed/Comments:

Leadership and Lean certification and proven record of business growth. A3/8D/Six Sigma Problem solving and proven continuous improvement.


License, Certifications, or Training Requirements:

  • Must complete company and Industry Safety Training Requirements


Experience & Education:

  • 2+ Years of Lean Manufacturing
  • 2+ Supply Chain Coordination
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant Certifications such as scheduling software or project management.
  • Team member engagement and employee morale
  • Demonstrated success optimizing manufacturing and work processes and methods, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable to meeting commitments and objectives and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Managing complex, voluminous and sometimes contradictory information to find strong solutions.
  • Ability to help develop strategic direction for organization, communicate it effectively to key stakeholders, and implement changes needed to achieve the vision


Physical Demands:

Light: Occasionally Lift/Carry/Lower 1 – 15 Lbs, seldom Lift/Carry/Lower 15 – 30 Lbs, never Lift/Carry/Lower +30 Lbs.

Occasionally pushing/pulling, reaching (both above and below shoulder), bending/twisting, walking, standing, repetition – hand/wrist simple and firm grasping.



Environmental Conditions:

Occasionally (less than 25% of the time) work in the shop environment which may be extremely hot (over 90 degrees) or cold (less than 40 degrees). Typically works in a temperature controlled office. At times may be exposed to loud noises, vibrations, strong odors, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents.
