Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking an experienced labor and employment attorney to join their team. The L&E team serves as key partners across the company, focusing on labor and employment matters with the goal of supporting the employee experience. This role is integral to empowering the business by delivering valuable legal advice, conducting fair investigations, and providing collaborative leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mitigate legal risk by providing expert advice and supporting their Legal, Human Resources, Compliance, Health & Safety, and Operations teams on various employment-related matters. This includes: wage and hour issues, accommodations, discipline, compensation, leaves of absence, EEO compliance, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, social media, privacy, hiring and separations, union activities, collective bargaining, and policies and procedures.
- Supervise or collaborate with both internal and external counsel on labor and employment claims, litigation, grievances, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
- Manage audits, complaints, and investigations from federal and state employment agencies.
- Stay informed on developments in state and federal employment law and governmental agency priorities, advising the company on potential impacts.
