Our client, a pet-healthcare portfolio company within a private equity backed organization is looking for an Interim Cognos Financial Manager Consultant to prepare and establish financial forecasting, reporting, dashboards, and KPIs for a 3+ month project. The Interim Cognos Financial Manager Consultant is a highly visible position within the organization, reporting to the CFO, leading the enhancement of current financial analysis and development of enterprise reporting including the optimization of visualization dashboards. The ideal candidate will have superior advanced financial reporting experience from Cognos as well as strategic cash flow forecasting and provide insights and recommendations. Interim Cognos Financial Manager Consultant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly Cognos reporting including design and development.
• Establish financial reporting on key operational areas such as producing customer-level revenue and profitability reporting and corresponding analyses.
• Develop Cognos based dashboard reporting on a variety of financial and operational KPIs and provide the results against plan/goal to senior leadership.
• Build out enhanced monthly financial package and create board presentations with the direction and collaboration of the CFO.

Interim Cognos Financial Manager Consultant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required .
• Private Equity experience required.
• 5+ years’ corporate financial analysis experience required.
• Power user of Microsoft Excel including pivots, nested if/than statements, sumifs, creation of and updating existing financial models, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to establish financial reporting and dashboard creation within Cognos required .
• Independent worker – must have a drive to achieve solutions
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle ambiguity in a rapidly changing fast paced environment
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
• Ability to function as a team player
