*Key Responsibilities:*
* Manage Business compliance with lender loan covenants and financial reporting requirements.
* Lead the preparation of monthly accrual-based financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
* Prepare and review monthly business cash flow reports.
* Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation for third-party audits.
* Work closely with external CPAs to ensure accurate tax reporting and preparation of tax returns.
* Develop and present the annual budget, monitoring actual performance against the budget on a monthly or quarterly basis.
* Track and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive and senior leadership teams.
* Identify opportunities for additional investments or expense management through KPI analysis.
* Implement and oversee internal controls, processes, and systems to safeguard financial assets against theft and embezzlement.
* Maintain familiarity with the AAHA Veterinary Chart of Accounts and Financial Reporting Standards.

*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor of Science or MBA in Accounting preferred.
* Certified Public Accountant preferred.
* A minimum of five years of experience in GAAP financial statement preparation and financial planning and analysis.
* Experience in managing financial reporting for businesses with multiple revenue streams.
* History of supporting external audit teams in completing GAAP-compliant annual audits.
* Veterinary accounting experience is a plus, but not essential for success.

*Skills and Abilities:*
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
* Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
* Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.
* Proficient in financial software and tools; familiarity with veterinary-specific financial systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
