Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Sous Chef with expertise in traditional Italian cuisine to join our culinary team. As the second-in-command in the kitchen, you will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to oversee kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and ensure the authenticity of our Italian dishes. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Italian culinary traditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
  • Prepare and oversee the execution of authentic Italian dishes , using traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Develop and refine menus that showcase the best of traditional Italian cuisine , while incorporating seasonal ingredients.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control meet the highest standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to source premium ingredients.
  • Uphold strict health, safety, and hygiene regulations in accordance with industry standards.
  • Assist in managing kitchen budgets, food costs, and waste reduction.
  • Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine .
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef , specializing in traditional Italian cuisine .
  • Extensive knowledge of Italian culinary techniques , regional dishes, and high-quality Italian ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for Italian gastronomy and a commitment to maintaining authenticity in every dish.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is a plus.
