General Description of the Position
The Academic Fieldwork Coordinator/Assistant Professor position within the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Department is responsible for coordinating and overseeing fieldwork placements for MOT students, as well as contributing to the department's academic and scholarly activities.
Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Essential Functions:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:

1. Coordinate aspects of fieldwork placements for MOT students in collaboration with clinical sites and faculty.
2. Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical sites to ensure a variety of high-quality fieldwork experiences.
3. Provide orientation, guidance, and support to MOT students and clinical educators during fieldwork placements.
4. Monitor and evaluate student progress and compliance with fieldwork requirements.
5. Collaborate with faculty to integrate fieldwork experiences into the MOT curriculum.
6. Conduct site visits to evaluate fieldwork sites and ensure they meet program standards.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to fieldwork education.
8. Serve as a liaison between the MOT Program, clinical sites, and community partners.

Required Knowledge. Skills. and Abilities:

1. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
3. Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulations related to occupational therapy education (ACOTE standards preferred).

Qualification Standards

1. Master's degree in occupational therapy or related field (Doctorate preferred).
2. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in Delaware.
3. Previous experience in clinical education, fieldwork coordination, or related administrative roles.
