Job Description

Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Scottsdale, AZ, USA (ONSITE)

Type/Duration: Contract

Rate: $38 - $40 per hour


Summary:

We are looking for an Android Engineer to work on a brand-new banking application using Kotlin and Declarative UI. You will be working in a collaborative small team environment with the stability of a global parent company. Your primary responsibility will be working with product owners, QA engineers, and designers to develop a cutting-edge and stable mobile application.


Responsibilities:

  1. Own and contribute to the design, architecture, development, and best practices of our mobile application.
  2. Partner with development team and product team to create a highly performant application with user satisfaction.
  3. Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to ensure proper testing and maintenance.
  4. Be highly motivated and able to work in a collaborative environment.
  5. Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predict future challenges.
  6. Manage your own time: Solution, problem solve, and work both independently and as part of a team in a greenfield environment.

Skill Set:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  2. 5+ years of experience with Android 6.0 (API level 23)+.
  3. 3+ years of experience in Kotlin and Gradle.
  4. 3+ years of experience with UI and Unit testing, preferably Espresso and Junit.
  5. 3+ years of experience with Dependency Injection, preferably Dagger.
  6. Experience with Jetpack: Compose, Android X, and other libraries.
  7. Knowledge of Material Design 3.0.
  8. Understanding of Clean architecture design philosophy.
  9. Good understanding of software design concepts and patterns.
  10. Good understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and how to connect Android applications to those services.
  11. Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing.
  12. Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts.
  13. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, product, and experience owners.
  14. Familiarity with CICD tools and Dev Ops.
  15. Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.
  16. Interest in mobile security.
  17. Experience with banking is a plus.
