Summary: The Vice President of Engineering, Platform is an entrepreneurial, growth-minded leader who is motivated by a start-up environment, passionate about iterative testing and learning, and delivering excellence. This role is responsible for building Internal Tools, API products, AB Testing and Data solutions to support customer and agent experiences.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the platform product team to develop the business process management platform.
2. Define and drive to a target state architecture based on API-first design principles.
3. Drive the establishment of a system to track operational and performance data.
4. Drive integration of the core platform with 3rd party systems.
5. Build a high-performing technical team.
6. Manage multi-disciplinary teams in a geographically distributed environment.
7. Build and lead the data engineering team.
8. Build and lead the DevOps team, Implement CI/CD and enable test automation.
9. Research industry trends and capitalize on opportunities.
10. Collaborate with executive, product management, and marketing teams to support development of companywide strategies.
11. Work closely with the CEO, CPO, CMO, and CTO to lead a team with integrity.
12. Ability to dig into homegrown solutions and develop a point of view on when to build vs buy.

What you bring:

1. Track record of technical talent development and building high performing engineering teams.
2. Strong experience in 3rd party system integrations.
3. Experience in low-code development a plus.
4. Ability to partner and manage offshore engineering resources.
5. Deep understanding of Agile development preferably Scrum.
6. Excellent communications skills and ability to effectively present to executive leadership teams.
7. Minimum of 10 years experience in leading technical teams.
8. Experience in open-source tools and AWS cloud.
9. Exposure building a tech stack from the ground up based on customer and business needs.
10. 5 years of experience excelling in a highly matrixed environment.
11. Experience in Scala and Spark.
