Client Summary:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Refine, shape and implement a strategic vision for data science across the organization, aligning with business objectives and goals.
  • Design and execute the development of advanced predictive machine learning models, generative AI solutions, and other AI-driven projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with executives, product, engineering and other business units to identify and execute high-impact opportunities that align with our company’s product strategy.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, analysts, and clinical subject matter experts to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of data science and AI innovation.
  • Establish and maintain data governance and responsible AI practices to ensure compliance and build stakeholder trust.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines, architecture, and infrastructure to support data science projects with emphasis on automation and scalability.
  • Represent the organization in public forums, conferences, and industry events, showcasing leadership in data science and innovation.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • Passion for developing talent and fostering innovation.

Experience & Skills:

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Education:

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.

Other:

  • Track record of successfully developing and deploying production-scale AI systems in healthcare SaaS, or similar industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, fostering collaboration and driving measurable outcomes.
  • Extensive experience with Python and leading machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proficiency in natural language processing (NLP) and working with pre-trained large language models (LLMs).
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda).
  • Expertise in handling large-scale unstructured datasets and leveraging modern data pipelines and frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical insights into strategic actions.
  • Strong commitment to responsible AI principles, particularly in healthcare applications.

Compensation: $170k-$250k, Health Insurance, 401k, Paid Vacation
