Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join their Cloud Governance team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding cloud infrastructure, enhancing security posture, and automating enterprise policy compliance across a multi-cloud ecosystem. This role is a hybrid model in Atlanta, Georgia.

Software Engineer Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated solutions to improve cloud governance efficiency and enterprise policy compliance.
• Design, build, and deploy policy-as-code solutions for multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, cloud engineers, and security experts, to enhance cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in Agile planning sessions, contributing ideas and prioritizing product backlogs.
• Utilize tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines to deploy and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Create APIs or augment existing tools to collect and analyze compliance data.
• Support risk assessments and assist in navigating policy exceptions.
• Participate in engineering forums and governance activities to drive innovation and alignment.

Software Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in full-stack development, cloud technologies, and security-focused DevOps.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Golang, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud resource management.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket) and build automation tools (Jenkins).
• Understanding of cloud governance principles, strategy, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience with Cloud Custodian, Open Policy Agent (Rego), or similar tools.
• Knowledge of front-end development.
• Basic understanding of cloud security and cybersecurity practices.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or big room planning processes.
• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer).

Compensation: $45-$50/hr. (DOE)
