Position: HVAC Chiller Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Salary: $48 - $52/hour

What You’ll Do:
- Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applying expertise to support state-of-the-art facilities.
- Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
- Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships and escalate issues for resolution when necessary.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, and implementing effective safety measures.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- EPA Refrigerant Certification.
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
- 3+ years of experience working with chillers.
- Must pass an exam for Building Trades Journeyman certification conducted by an Examining Board.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various physical positions (standing, crawling, sitting, squatting) for extended periods.
- Current union member or willingness to join a union.
- Must be located in or near Grand Rapids, MI.
Valued, but Not Required:
- Experience with data centers.
- Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of ServiceMax.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
