Job Summary:The Gazette, a subsidiary of Clarity Media Group and The Anschutz Corporation, is seeking a dynamic, inspirational, and experienced Vice President of Revenue to develop and execute the Gazette's media strategy for its expanding Colorado operations. This role will lead and oversee all aspects of advertising sales, marketing tactics, community event relations, and revenue generation, including managing print and digital consumer revenue. The ideal candidate will work closely with the President of the Gazette and the CEO of Clarity Media Group to develop the Gazette's future media vision and execute on that strategy as a hands-on leader. This position reports directly to the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Gazette.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Design the sales organization to support short- and long-term revenue goals.
- Lead the sales organization in identifying priority business opportunities and developing top client relationships.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall company objectives and market trends.
Advertising Sales Leadership- Develop and implement comprehensive advertising sales strategies to maximize revenue and capture market share.
- Optimize our current client base and discover new opportunities for advertising growth and digital development.
- Oversee the advertising sales teams - providing guidance, support, and inspiration.
- Take a hands-on approach to all aspects of advertising sales, including sales calls at various levels.
- Set and monitor sales targets and performance metrics.
- Foster strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and community influencers.
Sales and Operations- Oversee the development of sales processes, tools, and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee sales product and pricing strategy to drive revenue goals.
- Analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve objectives.
Marketing and Industry Analysis- Develop a cohesive messaging and marketing strategy to clients, consumers, and the community.
- Apply current industry trends and market conditions to grow The Gazette's media presence.
- Utilize market insights to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
Community Relations- Develop key relationships with community leaders and local government to generate recognition and revenues.
- Expand and develop community events to engage our community and grow our brand identity.
- Promote the Gazette through commercial advertising, consumer subscriptions, and community events.

Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:Education- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
Experience- Proven record of accomplishment of at least 10 years in advertising and/or subscription sales with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in the media industry with a strong understanding of digital media, newspaper, television, and radio advertising, and subscription revenue generation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing and sales strategies and revenue plans.
- Experience working in competitive markets or expanding and opening new markets.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to recruit, inspire, and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community influencers.
