Job SummaryResponsible for developing a pipeline of qualified new business sales leads and opportunities and growing our current portfolio of customers in our education dining and facilities management service lines. This will be accomplished through sales efforts for universities, colleges, and community colleges. Other responsibilities include maintaining full product knowledge, researching targeted accounts to build potential customer relationships, and effectively managing your pipeline. The Sales VP will be responsible for assuring profitable market growth through the procurement and support of new higher education accounts.
Responsibilities- Sell outsourced services throughout a prescribed territory
- Establish a pipeline of opportunities through prospecting accounts and maintaining awareness of solicitation portals
- Maintain existing relationships and gain new accounts within a territory
- Increase territory growth at a mutually agreed upon rate per year
- Work with corporate departments to leverage resources and analytics to support efforts
- Communicate effectively across the organization both horizontally and vertically.
- Develop relationships and partner with internal departments and operations
- Research targeted accounts and prospective buyers to gain perspective on organizational business needs, current state of services, and pain points in order to begin developing an overall account strategy
- Complete all required sales reports and submit them on time
- Maintain the company CRM to be up to date at all times for sales activities
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Outside sales experience selling outsourced solutions within Student Dining, Facilities Management, Maintenance, and Janitorial services
- Familiarity of all services being sold
- Familiarity with specified markets and potential customers
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Time and project management abilities
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage the sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying, proposal development, presentation, and negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop tailored written and proposal materials for the industry and specific customer needs
- Ability to attend and fully participate in national and regional team meetings with the possibility of overnight stays
- Ability to travel daily up to 80 percent of time for prospect and customer meetings while using the remaining time for planning, research, preparation, and training
- Ability to pass a driving record background check (moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.)
