Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motived Production Manager who oversees the operations of all production areas to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. The Production Manger will plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. They will provide production process analysis and make recommendations on solutions to process improvements. They will be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures for modern Lean manufacturing Processes. You will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

- Manage technician staff in the production and delivery of various hardware through factory acceptance. You will have the critical task of managing the priorities, equipment, and people associated with the production line
- Set priorities and direct daily operations to include timely issuing and completion of work orders to the production floor
- Ensure all operators are following safety procedures and their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, correcting proactively workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations
- Manage, coach, mentor and support production technicians
- Prioritize work activities for operators to achieve target on time delivery goals
- Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area
- Be able to provide high level reports out to Production Managers, Directors, and Head of Manufacturing as needed
- Provide management of day-to-today manufacturing & assembly operations.
- Review available information and allocate resources to maximize efficiency of manufacturing operation.
- Use operation rates/duration estimates, schedules commencement and completion dates regarding available resources.
- Provide weekly and monthly production schedule and meet the weekly and monthly production goals.
- Assist management in creating an overall project detailed schedule for projects if necessary.
- Update schedule as necessary and on completion of operations; revises order details to ensure current information is maintained and available.
- Compile a regular production schedule to ensure job commencement dates are met on target.
- Prepare relevant reports.
- Refine the accuracy of planned hours for future orders.
- Manage Six sigma projects and other continuous projects in the department.
- Assist in compiling information for the Key Performance Indicators monthly.

Experience and SkillsIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience, 3 years in an operations management, supervisory role in a relevant field is required
- Knowledge and experience with process improvement techniques.
- Background with DoD environment including MIL-STDs, FAR, DFAR, typical government deliverable formats, and government contracting.
- Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
Education- BS or BA degree in manufacturing or engineering, or relevant experience in a manufacturing operations management role.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement training or certification.
