About us:Fusion has powered the sun for billions of years. Harnessing fusion here on earth could provide limitless, on-demand, clean power to meet our growing energy needs, tackle the climate crisis, and fuel growing prosperity for centuries to come - if we can make it practical and affordable.
Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 to develop clean, affordable fusion power. Our approach - pulsed magnetic fusion, where large electric current pulses are used to magnetically compress fusion fuel - has long offered compelling advantages; now, recent scientific and engineering breakthroughs have opened a path to translate that approach into affordable fusion power.
We are still in stealth, based in Fremont, CA and backed by an incredible group of leading VCs and company builders.
