Job Summary As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for ensuring frameworks, methods and techniques that promote agility are understood and enacted.Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring frameworks, methods and techniques that promote agility are understood and enacted.
- Ensuring that the team and organization adhere to the values of the Agile Manifesto and the twelve principles therein.
- Help employees, teams and stakeholders understand and implement modern product development practices.
- Facilitator, trainer, coach and mentor for the team(s).
- Measure progress using learning milestones.
- Support the five elements of a learning organization: personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking.
- Adhere to the five Scrum values: focus, courage, openness, commitment, and respect.
- All other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of Product and IT experience.
- 2+ years in the role of Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile coach.
- 1+ years of experience applying multiple agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, LeSS.
- 1+ years of experience working on large scale, multiple Scrum team projects.
- SCRUM Master Certification.
- Excellent English communication skills in written and spoken form.
- Excellent speaking, facilitating and resolution skills.
- Must be a United States citizen.
Preferred- Multi-skilled in roles of engineering or product analyst.
- Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time preferred.
- Curriculum development and delivery.
- Experience with developing DevOps practices and culture.
- Scaling of Scrum Certification(s).
- Healthcare experience.
- Understanding of other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.
- Familiarity with common Agile proctices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices and participation in industry agile communities.
- As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position may require U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86 (PDF), (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role.
