Job Summary The Product Analyst will play a key role in working with our legacy application as it is being updated to a cloud-native platform which follows modern design standards. The Product Analysts may perform configuration management, performance and compliance improvements, conduct initial application triage, perform manual and regression testing, and help understand the software requirements and specifications through analysis as part of a feature team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Engage in Service Area Agile ceremonies within a feature team and perform tasks within the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Develop as Subject Matter Expert in several technology and business domains supported by the Service Area.
- Document and communicate translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
- Advanced proficiency in configuration knowledge within the enterprise applications and complete configuration changes and implementations accurately based on the business requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate with feature teams to maintain process documentation that adheres to quality standards.
- Develop complex test cases, procedures and automated test scripts for feature implementation tasks anticipating customer needs and proactively testing solutions to meet functional requirements.
- Write and maintain documentation which could include descriptions of program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and/or corrections.
- May provide or participate technical assistance in occasional on-call rotation after hours support and work with the team to troubleshoot and investigate system defects.
- Write advanced queries without guidance and develop a deeper understanding of more complex syntax.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Assist to research and identify patterns to improve overall quality.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job QualificationsRequired- Associate's degree in information technology, Business or related field combined with a minimum of 4 year(s) of business experience required. In lieu of formal degree, equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience may be considered.
- Experience in SQL.
- Experience testing in complex software applications.
- Experience in technical writing and/or software documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the capability to work independently as well as on a team in both a lead and support role and prioritize work while meeting critical deadlines.
- Must have experience working as a liaison between IT professionals and operational stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be a United States citizen.
Preferred- Experience designing and executing test plans for complex software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or Management Information Systems (MIS) or other related field with an emphasis in MIS.
- Experience working in a health care environment.
- 4+ years experience working in Agile / Large Scale Scrum methodology.
- 4+ years experience working as a liaison between IT, internal and external business leads, and end user community.
- Advanced understanding of database structures with the ability to learn the concepts of software setup, configuration, and customization, as well as basic understanding of relationships between database tables.
- Advanced knowledge of .Net application or applicable application Configuration and SQL query skills.
- Demonstrated successful implementation of small-scale technology projects.
- Experience in analysis, design, and release of software implementations.
- High level of adaptability to changing work environments.
