Responsibilities/DutiesWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING The successful candidate will be responsible for significant interfacing with program and project managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance, and subcontracts management. You will be required to work with program and project leaders to create and maintain
project financial budgets, records andforecasts to ensure project resources are properly managed against baseline and planned outcomes. Specifics below.
Program/Project Forecasting, Review and Analysis:
- Interpret and execute Corporate Policy Objectives and standards applicable to cost and schedule controls, coupled with analysis activities.
- Work with program managers to coordinate monthly program review.
- Administer and conduct monthly project reviews to track forecasts, budgets vs. actual cost and revenue, schedules, EAC, ETC, and EVMS reporting.
- Responsible for coordinating between project and business operations staff to resolve questions or issues on project invoicing, AR and AP.
- Prepare monthly Project Status Reports to identify projects with significant revenue and schedule variance.
- Assist with quarterly project profit accounting.
- Responsible for gathering/summarizing data to support task orders, budget and schedule forecasting for projects, and the overall business team.
Proposal Preparation:
- Participate in review of select cost proposals.
- Support development of risk and fee profiles.
Budget Preparation:
- Assist Division Manager with yearly budget preparation and mid-year budget review. Interface with Office Managers and Project Managers in compiling revenue and direct cost projections for projects.
Required SkillsWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL - Must have experience with cost and revenue forecasting, schedule analysis/reporting, fee analysis, EVM reporting, including tracking EAC/ETC, costs, and other financial analysis for complex government
projects.
- Must have strong interpersonal and effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience with MS Project, Deltek Costpoint and Cognos is a plus. Proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- This is a senior level position and requires 6-years (with BA or BS degree) and 8-years (with AA degree) of project controls experience. Demonstrated experience in cost/schedule.
- analysis and reporting, fee analysis, EVMS reporting including EAC/ETC and other financial analyses for complex government projects.
- Experience working under USACE contract guidelines.
- Experience generating and analyzing output from financial reporting programs.
- AA degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or project management is the minimum education required, a bachelor's degree in one of the listed areas is strongly preferred. Will consider directly related work experience as possible offset to formal degree.
