POSITION DESCRIPTION Responsibilities/Duties- Close month and prepare monthly financial statements (including subsidiaries),
- Review/development of financial management policies, procedures and practices,
- Executing financial systems in accordance with generally accepted and government accounting standards,
- Audit interface (DCAA, financial statement)
- Regulatory compliance (GAAP, FAR)
- Accounting process organization/documentation
- Supervising staff
- Maintaining/improving accounting systems, financial control and reporting
- Billing, invoice, payroll, AP processing/review
- Collaboration with other senior managers to provide expertise in accounting,
- Financial assessments, reporting and rendering advice on the financial strategy and systems strategy of HGL.
- Reconciliations and journal entries for leases, revenue recognition, cost allocations, other accounts as needed, etc.
- Other unique and challenging assignments,
Required Skills- MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Deltek Costpoint Accounting, Expense Reporting, Timekeeping
- Financial Forecasting
- BA/BS in Accounting
- MA/MS in a related field described above may decrease the years of experience expected
- Minimum of 10+ yrs. directly related experience
- May require a professional registration in the respective field, where applicable or available
- Subject matter experts who can apply highly complex knowledge and professional skills and add to the existing body of knowledge in a specialization
- Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work
