  • BLS
  • ACLS
    Job Requirements
  • Must be willing to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low
  • 3 years of CVOR experience Open Hearts, CABG, Valves
  • Must be willing to float to the floor as 'helping hands' or 1:1 sitter
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts 0645-1515 M-F
  • 1-2 times per week on call 1515-0645
  • Every 3-4 weeks Friday 1515-Mon 0645
  • Rotating holidays
  • Call response time of 15 minutes
  • 8 hour reprieve shifts for post call
  • Sleep room available
    Unit Specific Information
  • 2 CVOR suites
  • 1-3 cases per day
  • Common Cases: open hearts, thoracotomies, VATS, AAA, carotids
  • OR techs available
  • Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code provided
  • 3-4 days hospital clinical orientation
  • 4-5 days unit based orientation
  • 2 buddy call shifts
  • Flexible orientation based on heart experience
    Additional Details
  • No scrubbing required for RNs
  • EPIC EMR system
  • Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a-11p M-F
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles
