Description SUMMARY The HR Coordinator will oversee the administration of the day-to-day operations of the HR function including employee records, employee benefits, leaves of absence, maintenance of policies and procedures, HR systems/applications, recruiting, on-boarding and off-boarding, termination and overall staff experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist in the day-to-day operation of the HR department.
- Provide HR administration support and assist in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs and activities.
- Maintain confidential employee files and the HR filing system in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Provide benefits administration support including processing of status changes, invoice reconciliation and communicating benefits information to employees. Assists employees with completion of forms; completes enrollment, change, and termination processes. Notifies state(s) of new hires as required by law.
- Coordinate and administer leaves of absence process for staff, including but not limited to FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, Workers' Compensation, STD and LTD in accordance with AdelFi policy and applicable laws.
- Recruiting - posts and monitors job advertisements. Completes employment background search to include criminal, professional and personal reference verifications. Audits monthly background screening invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Assists employees and management with the interpretation and correct application of AdelFi policies, procedures, programs, and practices while exercising the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Enters, maintains, and updates Human Resources information in HRIS system, including but not limited to all new hire information and benefit enrollment and changes. Maintain Human Resources Information System records and various files.
- Reviews benefit and other invoices for accuracy; assists with resolving discrepancies with carriers, payroll and/or employees.
- Maintain general knowledge of industry and related legal issues, in order to help assure AdeiFi's compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the department's activities.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting unusual and suspicious activity under the requirements of the BSA/Anti-Money Laundering Act.
- Responsible for compliance with OFAC/USA PATRIOT Act and the Customer Identification Program as applicable to your position.
- Other duties as appropriate and/or assigned.
Education and/or Experience :
A bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in the human resource function.
Work Location and Schedule Work is primarily conducted remotely from home or approved worksite. Occasional meetings onsite in the office and travel may be required. General work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
