Job Title: HR Coordinator

Salary Range : $20 - $23 per hour

Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Location : Schwazze Support Center | Denver, Colorado

Position Objective

The HR Coordinator will provide essential support to the HR team, with a primary focus on I-9 verification, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and administrative tasks. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in Human Resources, with significant opportunities for professional development in a growing organization. The HR Coordinator will work closely with the Shared Services team, learning essential HR functions while contributing to the team's success.

Essential Functions

Recruitment Support (45%)

  • Support in drafting and posting job requisitions for open positions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist TA Team by reviewing resumes and pre-screening candidates for entry-level positions.
  • Track and update recruitment activity to support needed sponsored requisitions.
  • Identify qualified candidates based on job descriptions and forward suitable resumes to the TA Team.

I-9 Verifications (25%)

  • Conduct I-9 verifications for new hires within their first three days of employment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations for employee documentation.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of completed I-9 forms.

Interview Scheduling (15%)

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for Schwazze Support Center (SSC) roles.
  • Communicate interview details to candidates and interviewers, ensuring all logistics are in place.
  • Manage changes to interview schedules, rescheduling as necessary to accommodate both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Prepare the interview packets ahead of time and greet SSC candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.

Administrative Support (15%)

  • Human Resources Management System (HRMS) employee updates as needed.
  • Provide frontline support by managing the HR call line, addressing employee inquiries related to HR and escalating complex issues to appropriate HR team members for resolution.
  • Maintain employee files and ensure documents are filed and organized.
  • Assist with onboarding preparation, such as preparing welcome packets.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Shared Services team and prepare reports, such as Open Positions Flyer, Role Transitions & Promotions Flyer, and SSC New Hire Welcome announcements.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Sr. Director, HR Shared Services.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in HR, recruiting and/or administrative role.
  • Clear, professional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent follow-up skills and a keen sense of urgency for time sensitive matters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrating strong proficiency in business writing.
  • Familiarity with I-9 processes and basic HR compliance preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of an ATS preferred, but not required.
  • Working on several projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Amicable demeanor, adaptable and agile nature, combined with a steadfast commitment to hard work, and to foster personal and professional development.

Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

  • Office based position, Monday Friday; holidays, nights and weekend work may be required based on the needs of the business.
  • Reliable transportation is a requirement.
  • Possess the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, and driving as necessary.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.
