Job Description
Summary
Under regular supervision of the Assembly Production Supervisor, performs start up activities and operates assembly machine by following established procedures. Ensures that the correct quality and quantity of parts are made in accordance with the production schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Starts specifically assigned machines.
- Monitors automated assembly equipment.
- Maintains continuous production flow of components.
- Performs changeovers to machines as required.
- Stops process for corrective action by performing limited adjustments and minor repairs when necessary.
- Responsible for proper packaging quantities, materials and making labels and maintaining a neat work area.
- Participates in quality and efficiency processes, making sure the necessary requirements are met, such as seeking corrective actions, informing supervisor of difficulties and presenting and attempting solutions.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); excellent machine operator skills and mechanical ability.
Language Skills Ability to comprehend and comply with written and verbal procedures, instructions and assignments. Ability to deal with situations involving several variables in standard manufacturing conditions. Ability to actively participate in-group problem solving activities.
Mathematical Skills Ability to correctly perform calculations using basic mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems normally encountered in the manufacturing environment.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, loud noise levels and vibration.
Employee is required to follow all safety rules and procedures including, but not limited to, using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE for this position includes safety glasses, hearing protection and hard toed shoes.
