Replaces or repairs machine parts or components detected to be defective. Maintains necessary program records.nHelps to detect and report faulty machine operation, defective equipment, substandard components, or similar machine-related shortcomings to Team Leader.nMakes out time, production, and maintenance reports as necessary.nMay be called upon to use the lathe, surface grinder, and Bridgeport to repair or manufacture machine parts used in machine repair.nMay use the Arc Welder, cutting and welding torches, and soldering equipment under supervision to repair machine parts.nWorking with the Supervisor, Team Leader, and more experienced maintenance technicians, handles most mechanical and electrical problems identified in a work request.nWith assistance from his/her trainer performs the job of Maintenance Technician in its entirety as assigned.nReceives direction from Supervisor or Team Leader; independently works with machine parts drawings, manuals, specifications and/or instructions.nMaintains a clean and safe work area at all times.nHelps to maintain stock of spare parts used solely in Maintenance program.nCollaborates with Maintenance persons from other shifts to transmit and exchange information pertinent to the work at hand.nFollows all safety practices and procedures in all duties.nPerforms other duties, as required.nnWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:nnHigh school diploma or GED.nGood working knowledge of hand tools and usage of them.nGeneral ability to perform machining tasks using lathe, surface grinder, and Bridgeport.nSome working knowledge of basic electricity and wiring and the ability to read electrical schematics and use test instruments on circuits up to 480 volts.nAbility to weld, solder, braze, and flame cut under general instruction and supervision.nGood organizational skills.nnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:nnAbility to lift up to 100 lbs.nAbility to work with non-hazardous oils and solvents.nVisual acuity for detailed work.nAbility to read and interpret manuals, instructio s, procedures, etc.nnOur commitment to Diversity, Equity and Belonging (DEB) endeavors to create a safe space for all employees and customers, regardless of age, race, sex, gender identity, national origin, or religion.
