YOUR MISSION
Technical teams manage an array of surprising and unexplored spaces. They breathe life into ideas by transposing them onto physical worlds.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Propose equipment solutions and audiovisual controls according to the design and budget of a project;
Calculate projection angles and equipment locations, following guidance given by the concept team;
Develop plans, technical drawings, and diagrams that show equipment placement, as well as electrical hookups and show control (video/audio);
Oversee equipment maintenance;
Optimize production fluidity;
Act as the points person for producers and directors, in order to ensure each project’s technical efficiency;
Establish a symbiotic relationship between the environment, the content, and the technologies used (quality control);
Develop daily operational procedures in collaboration with integrators;
Travel occasionally to supervise the integration of projects throughout Canada, the U.S., and abroad;
Coordinate the usage of space, and the scheduling of setup and breakdown;
Ensure internal technical support;
Contribute to archiving high-resolution files and updating the database, in collaboration with directors and our in-house archivist.
POSITION’S EXPECTATIONS
4-7 years of experience in software, equipment management, and employee supervision, with 3 years in technical direction related to multimedia;
Familiarity with AutoCad and Sketchup softwares;
Familiarity with video playback systems and projection systems (Watchout, Coolux);
Advanced mastery of professional French and English--oral and written;
Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in installation and reparation of telecommunications equipment or audio-video equipment / Multimedia integration / Theater production;
Valid driver’s license.
