We are seeking a dynamic director technical service to lead our technical initiatives. This role will provide both strategic and tactical leadership in the development and compliance of our technical reviews. Your expertise will play a critical role in guaranteeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our assets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and enhance operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

You will possess advanced technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.

You will ensure the successful delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
You will be responsible for implementing appropriate programme delivery environments, including people, organisation, process, information and technology.
You will promote and influence quality and service excellence in all conversations and programme interactions.
Responsible for the system-wide technical development, including reviews of feasibility studies, detailed design, taking into consideration condition, and asset management standards and assures compliance to standards.
Prepare and direct proposals of proposed deviations and non-compliances with respect to relevant technical and engineering standards.
Act as the lead within specialized delivery, technical advisory teams for technical matters.
Lead in collaboration with the system engineering assurance team, engineering and asset management agency divisions, commercial and delivery teams, external stakeholders, and regulators.
Manage complex asset class (or) systemwide technical issues and risks, facilitates effective conflict resolution, and communicates with intra-agency divisions, regulators, contracted partners, and other external stakeholders.
Provide expert technical recommendations, helping to implement improvements as needed to optimize asset performance and minimize lifecycle/operational costs.
Build collaborative relationships with senior organizational leadership and stakeholders.
Lead strategic initiatives and directs research efforts to support and enhance technical planning, policy development, and operational decision-making.
Create an appetite for industry excellence and exceptional quality standards in the development and implementation of services and transportation solutions.
Lead, justify, and recommend process improvements and areas for whole lifecycle cost/benefits and overall optimization of whole life investment decision-making.
Participate in senior management team meetings, presentations, committees, and delegate division representation to other operating committees.

Minimum Requirements:
University degree in engineering, architecture, and/or rail sector and related industry experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
Demonstrated senior leadership experience in asset class/system-wide function program/project management, engineering, and delivery, testing and commissioning, operations, and maintenance of railway transit systems or related industries.
Proficient in project management principles and practices.
Proficient in the planning, validation, acceptance testing, transition to operations, and hand back of rail or related industry infrastructure.
Proficient in standards development, management, and control.
Proficient in oversight, evaluation, and assurance of system integration.
Proficient in design engineering and construction access requirements, rail corridor access and isolation planning and implementation.
Experienced in collaborating with industry experts and technical teams.
Experienced in evaluating design solutions against recommended best practices and standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex asset class or system-wide technical issues and risks.
