Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds, installs, maintains, and repairs a variety of production equipment. This may include electrical controls, circuits, control panels, forklifts, cranes, and other operations equipment in the plant.
  • Solve advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on various production equipment
  • Program and troubleshoot control systems including robotic and PLC based automation
  • Develops and improves preventative maintenance schedules
  • Collaborates with manager and plant management to improve operational processes with respect to equipment reliability
  • Schedules and coordinates with vendors for repairs, training, and installations
  • Verifies safety devices are inspected regularly for all machines and equipment.
  • Provide training for technicians, manufacturing engineers, and production leads.
  • Performs 5S activities and inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Acts as informal leader and mentor to fellow maintenance team members.
  • Travel up to 25%

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a high school diploma
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or Technical Associate's degree and 3 years experience
  • Experience working with CMMS to create, approve, and close work orders
  • Read and understand shop orders and blueprints, safety rules, standard work instructions, electrical diagrams and schematics, test sheets, completion sheets and quality assurance sheets
  • Basic Microsoft office required

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING

The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:

  • Lock Out/Tag Out Certification (desired)
  • JSA completion, Forklift Operations, PPE identification and usage, Crane Training, hazard awareness/identification, Lift table operations, Rigging safety
  • Understands maintenance Metrics, Issue boards, 5S

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:

  • Continuously lift/move 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and work in limited space.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
