This position coordinates routine and preventative maintenance, analyzes mechanical and electrical problems, makes adjustments, and orders repairs, replacements, or other corrective actions to ensure the continuous and safe functioning of all college buildings and equipment while ensuring minimal disruptions to the building’s occupants.nnA significant portion of this position’s time and effort (approximately 0.5 FTE ) will be dedicated to the Division of Games, an academic unit within the College of Architecture and Planning. The Division of Games is a world leader in games education, with consistently top-ranked programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and it is currently in a strong phase of enrollment growth and facility expansion.nnResponsibilitiesnnReceives and appropriately routes corrective maintenance or service requests related to buildings, components, or systems and coordinates their timely completion.nnMonitors equipment, responds to alarms, and ensures continued uninterrupted service. Notifies appropriate department personnel when repairs are necessary and assists in making repairs or switching to backup systems when required.nnMonitors and manages building security systems, building access (C-Cure and REA ), door key access, cameras, and key inventory for all CA+P buildings and property.nnRegular auditing of C-Cure and Key systems to ensure things are working properlynnRespond to electrical power outages, parking issues, facility needs, and other emergencies and work to restore services to assigned buildings through appropriate shops or departments.nnResponds to trouble reports from building occupants and coordinate repair activities.nnCoordinates regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.nnConduct weekly inspections of buildings for safety, cleanliness, project completion, etc., and coordinate with building occupants to correct possible issues.nnThis position will coordinate and implement the safety regulations and procedures set forth by the University, as well as the College of Architecture and Planning.nnHelps assure high-quality control of work performed in and to the building.nnAuditing and coordination of building assets and propertynnAssists Plant Operations’ Dispatch in scheduling utility shutdowns with building occupants.nnWorks with communications team to inform building occupants regarding any facilities-related businessnnMeet regularly with their supervisor(s) and appropriate stakeholders to discuss current needs and future projects.nnRepresents CA+P and Utah Games in building occupant meetings.nnProvides a conduit for effective communication and relations between facilities operations (central) and the building occupants.nnAll other duties as assigned.nnMinimum QualificationsnnTwo years experience with building systems control or related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required.
